Tivo - The Best Invention Since Text Messages

So, I'm currently sitting in my basement watching a Tivoed episode of America's Next Top Model and feeling so grateful for whoever invented the Tivo. I'm not a couch potato but I'll admit that I have a few favorite shows that I would hate to miss. My all time favorite show is Survivor. I have never missed an episode! In the days before Tivo I was always home on Thursday nights to watch it. When I was in college I would walk home from the library just to watch it and walk back to the library when it was over to finish my studying. I'm sure it sounds pathetic but I am a devoted fan. Fortunately, that is the only show that I am so devoted to. My other favorites are The Amazing Race, America's Next Top Model and Top Chef, reality TV is awesome. I love reality TV but my favorite sitcoms are Friends, Seinfeld and Roswell...all of them are retired :( You can buy the box sets now so there is never a worry to miss any of those episodes :)

I don't really know what else to say expcept that I think that Tivo is great. I don't have to be home on Thursday nights anymore. It really is a beautiful thing to watch your favorite show at your leisure. I don't love to live life by a schedule but since I am in graduate school and trying to work as much as possible I am bound by schedules...ugh! It's a challenge but I make it work. It was always so frustrating when I had a schedule conflict with Survivor. Thanks to the Tivo I can still stay happy because I don't have to miss Survivor: Cook Islands. Since I did my internship in the Cook Islands and have been to all the beaches that are featured on the show I'm sure I would be upset if I missed out watching it. This Survivor has been particularly interesting too.

This is my tribute to Tivo. I love it. If you don't have it then you are missing out. It really is the next best invention since text messages (I'll have to write a tribute about those one day because I love those almost as much as I love Tivo, maybe even more)!
